Education MA Alum Leader in Community
Tracy Whitaker earned her special education credentials, her MA in Education with a concentration in Special Education, and her Administrative Services Credential at SSU. She's taught a course in special education to our credential candidates. She's been a mentor to student teachers and is now the Director of Student Services in Bellevue School District. She has hired and worked with SSU intern teachers and is a great partner to us in helping develop the next generation of teachers. Her work as Bellevue district's COVID coordinator brought her even closer to the mostly Latinx families in the community as she supported them in virus testing and receiving needed services. Tracy is intelligent and talented and is using her SSU education to lead in the education space in our region.
