Thinking about graduate school? Starting your first semester in a new program? Join the Graduate Studies Book Club and discover the insights that can help you thrive before—and during—your graduate school journey.
Graduate school comes with an unwritten set of expectations that aren't always taught in class. From building relationships with faculty to managing your time, finding mentors, and navigating academic culture, there's a lot that successful graduate students are simply expected to figure out.
Throughout the 2026–2027 academic year, we'll read and discuss A Field Guide to Grad School: Uncovering the Hidden Curriculum by Jessica McCrory Calarco. Together, we'll explore the practical knowledge, strategies, and skills that can help you make the most of graduate school.
